Freeze Dried Food Shortage

I know I haven’t posted in ages (mainly due to both the business, work, and a new project keeping me busy), but I thought this was important enough to get out there (Hat tip:  Survivalistboards).  Does it mean anything?  Maybe, maybe not.  But picking up some extra groceries the next time you’re out never hurts!

To add my two cents, I will say I saw a spike in my business volumes shortly after the election, and this could easily be a continuation of the same trend.  Because it is my first year of business, I wasn’t sure if it was simply an uptick prior to the holidays or held any additional meaning.  This confirms that there is some level of anxiety around regarding the state of being of the country…but we all knew that already.

Echoes…

Great post from Rural Revolution.  It covers some of the economic thoughts we’ve discussed here before.

Umm…No.

More end of the world condos.  It’s almost as if we’re living with 50’s angst all over again.

Remembering 9/11

Here is a tribute one of my favorite columnists wrote back in 2003, 2 years after 9/11.  Peace and honor to the fallen and their families, and to the heroes revealed that day.
